Post our Grass/WindUp Records tenure, this was a return to our DIY roots, (if DIY stands for Deep-six It Yourself) with a cassette-only release that we dubbed copies of ourselves and with artwork printed on a “Xerox” machine (an early form of copying, similar to a scanner. Ask an older person in your community).
The cover photo – unbelievably, not photoshopped – shows a hopeful 14-year-old Kevin seeking career advice and pointers on ‘making it in showbiz’ in the warm leisure-suited embrace of fellow entertainer and secret smoker, a then-135-year-old Liberace.
[Kev adds: You don’t know Liberace? He is only the greatest entertainer of all time. Even Elvis said so.]
